Who can apply for an extension of a residence permit for entrepreneurs in Slovakia?

Entrepreneurs who hold a temporary residence permit for business purposes in Slovakia and wish to continue their business activities can apply for an extension before their current permit expires.

Applicants typically need to provide proof of sufficient income, business activity (e.g., tax returns, invoices), a clean criminal record, proof of accommodation, and valid health insurance.

The permit is usually extended for up to three years, depending on the applicant’s business stability and compliance with legal requirements.

The application must be submitted in person at the Foreign Police Department in Slovakia at least 30 days before the current permit expires.
